The best way to understand and learn about any community is to experience it on a relational level. Statements of faith can tell you what a community of faith’s beliefs are, but they can’t tell you who they are. If you’d like to discover who we are at New Wineskin Christian Fellowship, please join us at New Song on Wednesday evenings.
If the actual “statements of faith” are what you are still interested in, please visit the NAE Statement of Faith.
In essentials unity,
In distinctives liberty,
In all things charity.
Our belief system is orthodox, for we see the Bible as God’s inspired,
authoritative Word to us;
God as one eternally existent being in 3 persons,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
Jesus Christ as fully God and fully man,
Who came and lived among us to die for our sins,
that we might be raised to new life, just as He was;
the Holy Spirit, as the One Who transforms us back
into the likeness and image of our Creator;
the Church as those who are united in Christ,
under the authority of Jesus Christ as Head.
Yet believing is much more than words.
It is how we live our lives – what we do with our time, how we spend our money,
Who we treat as our friends, where we go and are going in life,
Why we do what we do, and so forth. That is what shows what we really believe.
Thus to follow Jesus Christ, we need God to break in to our lives, that we might
sing a New Song of worship to the One Who created us and freed us
from being enslaved.
We need others who will walk with us as part of
Jesus’ New Covenant, in an authentic spiritual journey,
And we need the challenges that this world brings to our faith so that we can be
witnesses to the New Way of what God has done, is doing, and will do in our lives.
