Statements of faith can tell you what a community of faith’s beliefs are, but they can’t tell you who they are. In essentials unity,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In distinctives liberty,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In all things charity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our belief system is orthodox, for we see the Bible as God’s inspired,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

authoritative Word to us; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

God as one eternally existent being in 3 persons,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus Christ as fully God and fully man,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who came and lived among us to die for our sins, <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

that we might be raised to new life,<\/strong> just as He was;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

the Holy Spirit, as the One Who transforms us back <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

into the likeness an<\/strong>d image of our Creator;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

the Church as those who are united in Christ, <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

under the authority of Jesus Christ as Head.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet believing is much more than words.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is how we live our lives – what we do with our time, how we spend our money,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who we treat as our friends, where we go and are going in life,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why we do what we do, and so forth.  That is what shows what we really believe.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus to follow Jesus Christ, we need God to break in to our lives, that we might<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

sing a New Song of worship to the One Who created us and freed us<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

from being enslaved.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need others who will walk with us as part of<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus’ New Covenant, in an authentic spiritual journey<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we need the challenges that this world brings to our faith so that we can be<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

witnesses to the New Way of what God has done, is doing, and will do in our lives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
